With everyone running to Instagram and Facebook Groups to find their ideal clients, behind the scenes is the true silent winner, Pinterest. Because there’s power in those pins!
Unlike Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok, Pinterest is a search engine. That puts it in the same category as Google. And we all know how powerful Google is.
If you Google the #1 way people make sales online, the results look like this:
Direct, Email and SEO
So let’s break that down.
First of all, “Direct” means the client went directly to you/your website. Email, means you used the power of email marketing to generate the lead. SEO is Search Engine Optimization. This means you used the power of SEO on your website to have clients find you via a search engine, like Google. But did you know that you can also use Pinterest to work with the SEO on your website to generate leads?
What I personally love about the power of Pinterest is that you can take your existing content, apply visual graphics, optimize the SEO and bingo! You are now using Pinterest to generate new leads. There’s power in those pins!
The Power of Pinterest: Repurposing Your Content
The other beauty of this strategy is that you are repurposing your valuable content to work harder for you. I don’t know about you, but I LOVE making the most of something I spent time creating. Especially when I can set it up to work on autopilot!
I recently started working with a client that has tons of videos for her business that she would like to re-purpose. By taking the transcriptions of those videos and turning them into blog posts, now we can apply this Pinterest strategy for her. Within just a few weeks she’s going to see her website traffic statistics go from Pinterest not even in the picture, to Pinterest being listed in the top 3-5 spots depending on her other lead generation efforts. And as long as she continues this process, she will see Pinterest continue to move up to that #1 spot in traffic statistics. Do you see the power in pinning?
So instead of focusing on spending more time tweeting, why not consider a strategy that brings you power and consistency.
